The Company’s history
Alstor has been operating on the Polish IT market since 1987. It was founded before the great political transformation of 1988 and 1989, and today it is one of the oldest existing private IT companies in Poland. Initially, our company was called Initel-Serwis and provided mainly computer services. In 1992, we undertook our first distribution job: the marketing of Fujitsu printers. Within the next year, we began cooperation with two well-known manufacturers: Toshiba and Emulex. In time, the range of products in our portfolio expanded and evolved towards mass storage solutions. In 1997, this prompted us to change the company name to ALSTOR (“all storage”).
Today, Alstor is regarded as a value added distributor that provides services well beyond the standard offer.
Our high qualifications are evidenced not only by the distribution of solutions provided by world-class manufacturers, but also by the fact that we provide content-related support for our business partners. Alstor boasts a well-developed technical department that employs engineers specializing in selected fields. They have an in-depth knowledge of the products in our offer and actively support the sales department in preparing more complex offers in order to deliver solutions tailored to our clients’ needs.
Our employees have numerous certificates that attest to their high qualifications. Alstor is one of the few European distributors that employ an Avocent Certified Deployment Specialist (ACDS) in the range of DSView product line and an Avocent Certified Planning Specialist (ACPS) in the range of AMIE line. Our specialists have completed courses like Hitachi AMS 2000 Family Installation, Configuration and Support, Replication Fundamentals for Hitachi Modular Storage, Simpana System Engineering and Support, Simpana System Administration, and many authorization trainings of manufacturers such as Overland Storage, Tandberg Data, and Infortrend.

Additionally, we provide our partners with detailed consultations regarding the preparation of projects for the end users. We offer a comprehensive service that includes installation, implementation, and testing of new solutions. Our partners can also take advantage of our rich training offer, e.g. trainings that pertain to specific solutions and help make full use of their functionalities. Such trainings are organized at our client’s request and tailored to their needs.
